![]() Marked for Death is good, but things die a bit too slowly to really spread it around well with contagion, and the aoe rune is just too small. ![]() This doubles the diamond to 25% CDR and combined with my cubed ring (see below) I felt this opened the possibility to take a third cooldown ability instead of the often proposed Marked for Death. Leoric's Crown (cubed), other guides suggest that belt that boosts your hatred builder, but I found myself not spamming that attack so it felt pointless. Go for multishot dmg and a socket with a diamond. You can use another helmet if you feel you don't need it, but the less you have to dodge around, the more you'll be shooting. Visage of Gunes doubles your effective health if you have 100% uptime on Vengeance. I didn't have that much CDR, but no worries, that's not needed in this build. Absolutely mandatory! It allows for 100% uptime of Vengeance if you have an additional 37% CDR from other sources. Go for high Multishot and crit chance rolls. Dead Man's Legacy, the Recurve's twin brother and just as essential. I only had 40% resource cost reduction, but I still didn't run out of fuel. Fortunately it had no socket so I didn't have to roll it off to put a Gift on it (emerald gem, obviously). I did get a good non ancient one, though, decent dex and +10% dmg, but the dmg roll was kinda shit so I rerolled it till I got a very good one. I spend millions of shards to get an ancient, and nearly all my Death's Breaths and Forgotten SOuls, but alas the game hates me. Mine was not an ancient, so that's not necessary. Can't have a multishot build without this bad boy. Instead I prefered the near constant 20% from Bane of the Powerful. With this low DPS, things live too long and will want to violate your personal space. No Zei's Stone of Vengeance either as I felt I couldn't keep my distance. The run is a race against the clock and you'll be busy vaulting to find good groups whenever you're not in combat. Also no Taeguk because I felt I had no time maintaining the stack. I didn't take any defensive gems, I felt my survivability was good enough, just use your eyes and stay out of the fire. DPS is too low to one shot everything, so this gem will help build up your damage. Bane of the Trapped rank 55, great DPS boost with the slow from your passives Bane of the Stricken rank 56, completing the Bane trio. Legendary Gems: Bane of the Powerful rank 55, helps with elites and the 20% extra DPS is roughly permanently up at that rank. Number of ancient items: only 3 (shoulders, boots and chest). Toughness: 6.7M +Unity (50%) +Visage of Gunes (50%) +Wraps of Clarity (35%) +Evasive Fire (25% armor) = 48.8M ![]() DPS, CC immunity, massive hatred regen, doubling your effective health Wolf - Wolf Companion, good DPS and can take quite some beating Evasive Fire - Hardened, hatred builder and good mitigation Multishot - Arsenal, the main nuke Ballsitics, boosting the nuke Cull the Weak, overal DPS boost Thrill of the Hunt procs Cull of the Weak with its slow Ambush for more DPS (duh) Skills and passives: Vault - Rattling Roll for mobility and stuns Rain of Vengeance - Stampede, pretty good damage, can be used often thanks to cubed ring Vengeance - Seethe, obviously. I used a variation of the fire multishot build. I'll go over the items I had and discuss how necessary (if at all) the item is. There aren't that many Season 5 guides for the The Thrill conquest (complete a GR45 without a single set item) for demon hunters, so I thought I'd do my part by sharing how I managed to do it.
